Hii! I am a doctoral student with Prof. Piyush Rai and Prof. Vinay P. Namboodiri in Dept. Of Computer Science & Engineering at IIT Kanpur. I also closely collaborate with Dr. Vinay Kumar Verma. I work in the area of general machine learning, deep learning, active learning and computer vision.

Prior to joining IIT Kanpur (reverse chronologically), I was a Master's student in Dept. Of Computer Science at BHU and a Bachelor's student in Dept. Of Computer Science at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira.

Research

My current research aims to enable lifelong learning in the deep neural networks while trained incrementally with the sequentially coming data possibly from an unbounded stream with the following constraints: (i) the neural network can have access to the current data only, and access to the previously observed data is forbidden, and (ii) the model should be able to adapt to the changes in the data distribution without suffering from catastrophic forgetting.
